Modular

Modular shelters are often held up as a solution to emergency shelter needs, in the belief that there is a frequent need to ship small units to create big buildings.

“The shape is bionic, inspired by and further developed out of polyhedrical foam structures. Due to the geometry, technical and spatial clustering of several units is possible. The macrostructure is made of GFRP rods with two different profile sections and four different node fittings made of PCTFE. The structural parts are connected via a special clip system.”

This looks like a design firm getting carried away. Ignoring the question of whether anyone would want to live in a space-age glass box, the cost would be astronomical.
